Description

The Host PC is a mini PC that contains pre-loaded CUWB RTLS system software and diagnostic tools. The underlying preloaded Host PC hardware may vary.

Operation

Additional equipment is required for using the preloaded Host PC with the CUWB RTLS System:

  • Keyboard & Mouse
  • Monitor
  • PoE Ethernet Switch
  • Ethernet Cables
  • Tags
  • Anchors

The preloaded Host PC is recommended for Anchor Arrays of 50 Anchors or less.

PC Access

The preloaded Host PC has been setup with a temporary user and password:

  • User: cuwbadmin
  • Password: cuwb
  • Host Name: PC301

It is recommended to change the user name and password after receiving the PC.

Pre-Loaded Software

The Host PC has been loaded with the following software:

  • Ubuntu Linux 24.04 OS
  • Static NIC Netplan
  • CUWB Manager
  • CUWB Viewer
  • CUWB Migrate
  • CUWB USB Driver
  • AN302 Firmware
  • PT301 Firmware

The loaded packages may not be the latest software releases. See Software Packages to download the most up-to-date software releases.

The preloaded Host PC utilizes the Ciholas PPA to download the software packages. The software packages may update to the latest revision when prompted by the Ubuntu package manager.

Network Interface Cards (NICs)

The preloaded Host PC contains two network interface cards. The network interface cards are preconfigured with a static netplan for the Anchor Stream and User Stream.

On the back of the mini PC, the Ethernet ports have been labeled with Anchor and User. The Anchor port is intended to connect to the Anchor Array and is configured for link-local addressing. The User port is intended to connect to the user’s LAN using DHCP.
