Ciholas is pleased to announce the first installment of our new HowTo video series, dedicated to the implementation of the Ciholas Ultra-Wideband (CUWB) Real-Time Location System (RTLS). Our engineers possess extensive experience in guiding clients through the deployment of high-performance tracking solutions. This series is designed to share that expertise from initial planning to system operation.

The CUWB Manager, a browser-based configuration hub, serves as the primary configuration and control center for the CUWB RTLS. The software enables administrators to manage multiple CUWB Configurations and oversee CUWBNets. Through this interface, users can perform critical tasks such as adding or removing devices, assigning device roles, configuring operational parameters (including channels and tracking modes), and monitoring the system state in real time.

In this introductory session, Herb Hollinger, Principal Software Engineer at Ciholas, provides a technical walkthrough of the installation and configuration workflow, covering:

  • Downloading and installing the CUWB Software suite
  • Establishing a new CUWBNet configuration
  • Configuring anchor and tag devices
  • Adjusting general system parameters
  • Running the CUWBNet
