The CUWB 5.1.1 release represents a major step forward, bringing enhanced performance, and increased flexibility to our users. From long-term asset tracking capabilities to high-beacon rate tags, this update ensures that your real-time location systems are more capable than ever before.
Read on for a breakdown of our newest releases and platform expansions.
Long-term asset tracking often comes down to a difficult compromise between battery longevity and maintenance ease. The all-new PT321 Replaceable Battery Tag is built to bridge that gap.

Featuring a rugged form factor designed for industrial environments, the PT321 utilizes a high-capacity, replaceable primary cell battery. Engineered with our Wake-on-Shake technology and low-power precision sleep, the PT321 provides up to 5 years of operational life while delivering real-time positioning accuracy.
Key Applications:
To capture rapid motion accurately, whether in high-speed athletic tracking, fast robotics, or dynamic automated machinery, standard tracking update rates simply aren't enough. We are officially introducing 200Hz capable tags. Paired with this 5.1.1 software release, users can now track dynamic assets faster and more accurately than ever.
By doubling the maximum beacon rate, CUWB tags can now be located up to 200 times per second. This high data rate empowers users to perform complex filtering on noisy data to achieve smooth, low-latency position data, while simultaneously reducing infrastructure costs by lowering the number of anchors required to maintain desired system precision. For more information regarding the impact of smoothing and anchor count on system performance, please check out our Accuracy and Precision Application Note.

Visualizing 3D positioning data in real time should be effortless regardless of your operating system. We are thrilled to announce that the CUWB Viewer software is now available natively on Windows.
The Windows release of CUWB Viewer offers the exact same robust 3D visualization, primitive/model importing, and real-time monitoring natively on Windows desktops and laptops, no virtual machines or dual-booting required.
Keeping your Real-Time Location System (RTLS) secure, performant, and future-proof means staying up-to-date with Linux infrastructure. The core CUWB Software Suite now fully supports Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.

This update ensures seamless integration with production server builds, the latest toolchains, and updated security profiles for deployments running on enterprise hardware or cloud-connected edge nodes.
Whether you're upgrading an existing RTLS installation or designing a deployment from the ground up, all setup instructions, datasheets, software packages, and system integration guides are available at CUWB.io.
